Riley’s in Leicester was the venue for the final and saw an afternoon of high class darts featuring high scores and 100+ combination finishes.
Following on from the group stages the semi-finalists were Richard Brown and Brian Randall from Warsop Ex-Servicemens Club, Shaun Wharton from Riley’s and Carl Newton from Round Oak, Brierley Hill.
Richard edged out Brian with a close fought 4-2 victory whilst Carl hit top form to defeat Shaun 4-0.
Richard, sporting a natty ‘Wreck It Rich’ shirt, hit top gear immediately racing into a 3-0 lead with several 180s and some top quality one dart finishes. Shaun mounted a brief comeback before eventually losing by 2-5.
Congratulations to all the players who qualified, on this form Richard will be ‘One to watch’ at the National Final in Sheffield on December 7th.
