Darts Northern Regional Final – 15th February 2015

Pilkey’s in Keighley was once again the venue for the first quarterly final of the New Year.

Without doubt the best leg of the day occurred during the group stages when Brian Lewis, (Wilton) left himself on 41 after only nine darts with scores of 100, 180 & 180, only to see his opponent, Stephen Limer (Bridge Inn), win the leg in 11 darts.

In the semi-finals Brian Lewis’s big scores and deadly finishing proved to be too much for Marc Cahill (Bridge Inn) as Brian romped to a 5-1 win. In the other semi-final Graham Salmon (Gunner) gained revenge for a group stage defeat when he narrowly edged out Lee Slack (Wilton) by a score of 5-4.

In an entertaining final the scoring throughout was pretty even, several missed doubles meant that almost every leg could have gone either way with Brian eventually running out a 5-2 winner and picking up the top prize of £100. Graham though could be well satisfied with his performance and the second place prize of £50.
